Debrecen and Eger...

First of all, many thanks to Polyak Laszlo's hospitality in Nyirbator who ensured us breakfast and internet. At 20km to Debrecen appeared the first cycle track. We were very happy! It's amazing how easy things work here. There is a sign that shows the beginning of the track and we are already on it. It is also the pedestrian's road but they get along very well. No stress, no yelling. Everybody is polite, patient, and helpful. No horning. The trucks slow down and wait for the opportunity to go further. We get to Debrecen.

We see the Calvinist Church in the downtown. Silence and calmness rules all over. Bird sound, child laugh, relaxation. All can be found here. Everybody has it's own life and although everybody has it's own problem, nobody was mean to us so far. This is another mentality. You can't hear a horn in entire Debrecen. We visit the Great Forest, here is the Debrecen University Center. Just like in downtown: silence, tranquility and bird sound. Unbelievable.

We leave Debrecen, we are heading to Eger. We leave behind us the acacia that accompanied us from the board to Debrecen, and although by now the hey fever didn't take a toll, now it stroked me. Between Debrecen and Eger the main flora is the poppy. We reach Hortobágy, we settle our tents. Hortobágy: where the sky meets the land. Lowland, with a great fauna, especially birds. Many, many ducks. We visit the stud from Mata, where we find many beautiful horses. The rascals must have had a hard time riding them. Weather changes. The weather is still not great, but the sun appears for a few moments. It feels good, the riding is getting better and better and we already reached the 20km/day. Our bicycles are still ok, they proudly carry our luggage. We roll in Tiszfured, we surprise ourselves with a bath in the lake. We refresh ourselves, it feels good.

We go ahead, monotonous rolling, then we set out tents at 10 km to Eger. There is no problem with the tents, so much that we even sweat in our sleeping bags. We wake up early; this is the first day when the sunshine welcomes us. I'm still having problems with the hey fever. We are heading to Eger, we get to the wine cellar. Our first stop is before the basilica where we have breakfast. After this we visit the basilica, then the castle. We find a dark place, then we realize that it is the tunnel system, but there is no light, so the tourists are not visiting it. Here comes the headlight, we walk through the tunnel under the castle. Great experience. We visit the Turkish bath, and then we go further. Our next goal is Visegrad. Everything is good so far, although our muscles are tired and ask for a pause, there is no sever problem and the weather is getting better and better.

This is all for now. I almost forgot that there was only one car that used his horn outside Debrecen, you can guess what kind of number plate it had... There are pictures and videos.
